Purchasing Manager

Separation By Design is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager. This person, with the assistance of two employees, will oversee the inventory and purchase orders of the company. They will support supply chain activities with the goal of on-time production of quality products while optimizing total production costs. Successful candidates should be self-starting and self-motivated, have prior purchasing experience, preferably from a manufacturing setting as well as experience in electronics and international purchasing. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The manager’s role has two employees who report directly to them.
• Keep inventory levels stocked and in order
• Ordering job materials for construction projects
• Place all purchase orders for the company
• Arrange LTL/TL shipping for the product
• Ensure pricing is optimized
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
• Work closely with departments to ensure clear communication of purchasing requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5+ years of experience of related purchasing and buying experience from a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Netsuite experience a plus
• Petroleum-related experience a plus
